Quick answer

BatchSet adds a border around an image free and entirely in the browser, by a percentage of the shorter side or an exact number of pixels, in white, black, any colour or transparent (saved as PNG). Nothing is cropped: the canvas grows by the border on all four sides and the image keeps every pixel. Many images can be framed at once with a ZIP download.

How to use the Add Border

Three quick steps — free, private, right in your browser.

1

Add your images

Drop one or many JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF files.

2

Pick the border

Set a percentage or an exact number of pixels, then the colour: white, black, any colour, or transparent.

3

Add and download

Each image gets its frame in your browser. Save them one by one or as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Does adding a border crop the photo?+

No. The canvas grows by the border on all four sides and the photo keeps every pixel, so the file comes out larger than it went in.

Percent or pixels?+

A percentage is read off the shorter side, so a set of photos in different shapes end up with frames that look the same. Pixels are exact, which is what you want when several images must match to the pixel.

Can the border be transparent?+

Yes, and the result is saved as PNG, because JPG cannot hold transparency.

How do I get the white Instagram border?+

Choose White and about 5 per cent. For the square post with white bars instead of a frame, use Make Image Square.

Is it free, and are my images uploaded?+

It is free with no account and no watermark, and nothing is uploaded.
