Quick answer

BatchSet's favicon generator turns any image into a complete favicon package — favicon.ico (16/32/48), 16/32/48px PNGs, a 180×180 Apple touch icon, 192 and 512px Android icons, and a site.webmanifest — free and entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded; download everything as a ZIP and paste the provided HTML snippet into your site's <head>.

How to use the Favicon Generator

Three quick steps — free, private, right in your browser.

1

Add your image

Drop in a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG — a square logo of 512px or more works best. It stays on your device.

2

Pick a background

Keep it transparent, or place the icon on white or black. Add your app name for the web manifest.

3

Download the package

Grab favicon.ico, every PNG size and site.webmanifest as a ZIP, then paste the HTML snippet into your site.

Frequently asked questions

What files does the favicon generator create?+

A complete set: favicon.ico (with 16, 32 and 48px inside), favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, favicon-48x48.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180×180), android-chrome-192x192.png, android-chrome-512x512.png, and a site.webmanifest — plus a copy-paste HTML snippet.

How do I add the favicon to my website?+

Download the ZIP, copy every file into your site's root (public) folder, and paste the provided <link> tags into the <head> of your HTML. That's it — browsers pick up the right size automatically.

What size image should I upload?+

A square image at least 512×512 gives the sharpest result at every size. Non-square images are centered and scaled to fit; SVGs are rasterized crisply.

Is my image uploaded to a server?+

No. Every icon — including the .ico — is generated entirely in your browser, so your image never leaves your device. It's completely private and free.

Can I make a favicon with a transparent background?+

Yes. Transparent is the default, so PNG icons and the .ico keep their transparency. You can also place the icon on a solid white or black background.

What is the .ico file for?+

favicon.ico is the classic file browsers request from your site root. Ours packs the 16, 32 and 48px versions into one file, so older browsers and Windows shortcuts all render a crisp icon.
