Frequently asked questions

Why does HEIC conversion need an account?+

Web browsers can't decode Apple's HEIC/HEIF format, so the conversion has to run on our servers. A free account keeps it secure and abuse-free — it includes 100 credits every month, and each HEIC image uses 1 credit.

How many credits does it cost?+

1 credit per image. A free account includes 100 credits a month, so you can convert up to 100 HEIC photos monthly at no cost. Need more? Pro and Enterprise plans include far more, and anyone can buy credit packs.

What is a HEIC file?+

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones and iPads use by default. It saves space, but many websites, Windows apps and older software can't open it — so converting to JPG makes your photos work everywhere.

Will converting reduce photo quality?+

You control it with the quality slider. At 85–95% the JPG is visually indistinguishable from the original; lower it only when you want a smaller file. HEIC photos have no transparency, so nothing is lost there.

Can I convert several HEIC photos at once?+

Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them in one batch, and download everything as a single ZIP. Each image uses 1 credit.

What happens to my uploaded photos?+

Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our servers, and the original is deleted right after processing. Converted files are available to download and are removed automatically per your plan's retention.
