It depends on the image and quality setting — photos often shrink 60–80%. The tool shows the before/after size and percentage saved for each file and for the whole batch, so you can pick the right balance.
PNG is lossless, so the quality slider can't shrink it much. For real savings on a PNG, convert it to WebP or JPG.
