Quick answer

BatchSet's GIF resizer resizes animated GIFs by percent or to an exact width, free and entirely in the browser with gifsicle, with no upload and no sign-up. The height follows the width to keep the shape, every frame is resized, and the timing and loop are kept. Many GIFs can be resized at once and downloaded as a ZIP.

How to use the GIF Resizer

Three quick steps — free, private, right in your browser.

1

Add your GIFs

Drop one or many .gif files, or click to pick them.

2

Choose the new size

Scale by percent, or type the width in pixels. The height follows so nothing is stretched.

3

Resize and download

Every frame is resized in your browser. Save them one by one or as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GIF resizer free?+

Yes. No account, no watermark, and the resizing happens on your own device.

Will my GIF keep moving?+

Yes. Every frame is resized the same way and the timing and loop are kept, so the animation plays exactly as before, just at the new size.

Are my GIFs uploaded?+

No. The GIFs are processed in your browser and never sent to a server.

Can I make a GIF bigger?+

Yes, up to 200 percent. Enlarging can't add detail, so a bigger GIF looks softer and its file gets larger.

Does resizing make the file smaller?+

Shrinking does, often a lot, because each frame holds fewer pixels. For even smaller files, run the result through the GIF compressor.

Can I set the height as well?+

The height follows the width so the GIF keeps its shape. To change the shape, crop the GIF first and then resize it.
