Quick answer

BatchSet's image to JPG converter turns any common image into JPG for free, right in your browser, with no signup and nothing uploaded. It reads JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF and HEIC, and you can mix formats in one batch and get a ZIP back. Because JPG has no transparency, transparent areas are flattened onto white; an animated GIF gives its first frame and a multi-page TIFF its largest page.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I put in?+

JPG, JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF and HEIC. You can mix them in one batch, and they all come out as JPG. HEIC and TIFF are recognised from the file's bytes rather than its name, so a wrongly named file still works.

Why convert to JPG at all?+

JPG is the format every phone, website, printer and form accepts. Newer formats like AVIF, WebP and HEIC are smaller, but plenty of software still refuses them, and TIFF cannot be shown by a browser at all.

What happens to transparency?+

JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are flattened onto white. If you need transparency, convert to PNG instead.

Is anything uploaded?+

No. The decode and encode both run in your browser, on your own machine, so no file leaves your device. There is no signup and no watermark.

What do animated GIFs, SVGs and multi-page TIFFs do?+

An animated GIF gives you its first frame. An SVG is rasterised with its longest side at 1024px, since JPG is made of pixels. A multi-page TIFF gives you its largest page.

How many images can I convert at once?+

There is no fixed limit: the work runs on your device, so your computer decides. A batch comes back as a ZIP.
