Quick answer

BatchSet's image to PNG converter turns any common image into lossless PNG for free in your browser, with nothing uploaded. It reads JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF and HEIC in one mixed batch and keeps transparency and every pixel, which is what makes PNG the right target for screenshots, logos and anything you will edit again. PNG files are usually larger than the original.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I put in?+

JPG, JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF and HEIC, mixed in one batch. HEIC and TIFF are recognised from the file's bytes rather than its name, so a wrongly named file still works.

Why PNG rather than JPG?+

PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so nothing is thrown away. It suits screenshots, logos, line art, scanned documents and anything you will edit again. JPG is the better choice when you mainly want a small photo.

Will the PNG be bigger than the original?+

Often yes. PNG stores every pixel exactly, so a photo that arrived as a small JPG or WebP usually grows. That is the trade for losing nothing. Use the image compressor afterwards if size matters more than fidelity.

Is anything uploaded?+

No. The decode and encode both run on your own machine, so no file leaves your device. No signup, no watermark.

What do animated GIFs, SVGs and multi-page TIFFs do?+

An animated GIF gives you its first frame. An SVG is rasterised with its longest side at 1024px. A multi-page TIFF gives you its largest page.

Does it keep the photo's date and camera info?+

No. EXIF data such as the date, camera and GPS location is stripped from every file, whatever its format. That is good for privacy, but keep the original if you need that information.
