Quick answer

BatchSet resizes product photos to exactly 2000 x 2000 pixels, the size Etsy recommends for listing images (at least 2000 px per side), free and in the browser with no upload. It opens with white padding so the whole item stays in the square, can crop instead, and resizes a whole batch into one ZIP. JPG output flattens transparency to white, which Etsy needs because it doesn't support transparent images.

How to use the Resize to 2000x2000

Three quick steps — free, private, right in your browser.

Add your listing photos

Drop the whole set. JPG, PNG, WebP, iPhone HEIC, TIFF and more.

2

Keep the white padding

The size is set to 2000 x 2000 and Fit to Pad on white, so nothing is cut off.

3

Resize and download

Every photo comes out at exactly 2000 x 2000 px. Download them all as one ZIP.

How to resize to 2000 x 2000 on Windows, Mac and iPhone

The built-in apps do one photo at a time. Watch the shape: if the photo is not square, typing 2000 twice stretches it.

Windows (Paint)

  1. Open the photo in Paint and choose Resize.
  2. Pick Pixels and untick Maintain aspect ratio.
  3. Type 2000 for both sides and click OK, then save a copy.

Paint stretches a photo that isn't square. Crop it to a square first, or use Pad on this page to add bars instead.

Mac (Preview)

  1. Open the photo in Preview and choose Tools, then Adjust Size.
  2. Set the units to pixels and untick Scale proportionally.
  3. Type 2000 for width and height and click OK.

Preview overwrites the original when you save. Duplicate the file first, or use this page, which never touches your files.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open this page in Safari and tap the drop area.
  2. Choose Photo Library and pick your photos.
  3. Tap Resize, then download the ZIP to the Files app.

The Photos app can crop to Square but can't set a pixel size, so a crop there won't come out at exactly 2000 x 2000.

Frequently asked questions

What size should Etsy listing photos be?+

Etsy recommends listing images at least 2000 px on each side, and the first photo should be at least 635 px and landscape or square. 2000 x 2000 meets the recommendation and stays square, so it works as the first photo too.

How do I resize photos to 2000 x 2000?+

Drop them on this page. It opens on Exact size, 2000 x 2000, with Fit on Pad and a white background. Click Resize and download the ZIP. Switch Fit to Crop if you would rather fill the square.

Will Etsy crop my photo?+

Etsy crops thumbnails to square, portrait and landscape, so leave some space around the item. Pad adds white space on the short sides, which helps keep the item inside every crop.

Can I upload a transparent PNG to Etsy?+

Etsy doesn't support transparency, so see-through areas show up black. Choose JPG as the output: it flattens transparency to white.

How big will the file be?+

Etsy notes that images over 1 MB may not finish uploading on a slow connection. The size depends on the photo: a plain product on white is small, a busy, detailed scene is bigger. Check the size shown next to each file, and if one is over 1 MB, run it through Reduce Image Size in KB with a 1,000 KB target.

My photo is smaller than 2000 px. Will it look blurry?+

It has to be enlarged to reach 2000 px, and enlarging can't add detail. Use the camera original, not a copy sent through a chat app, which is often shrunk.
