Resize as many images as you like on your device — nothing is uploaded.

100% private. Resizing runs in your browser — your images are never uploaded.

Quick answer

BatchSet resizes images to exactly 500 x 500 pixels, free and in the browser, with no upload and no sign-up. A photo that isn't square can be fitted on a white (or any colour) background so nothing is cut off, cropped from the centre, or stretched. Many photos can be resized at once and downloaded as a ZIP. 500 px is the minimum Amazon accepts on the longest side; for marketplace listings 1000 x 1000 or larger is the better target.

How to use the Resize to 500x500

Three quick steps — free, private, right in your browser.

1

Add your photos

Drop one photo or a whole folder. JPG, PNG, WebP, iPhone HEIC, TIFF and more.

2

Check the fit

The size is already 500 x 500. Pad keeps the whole photo on white; Crop fills the square.

3

Resize and download

Every photo comes out at exactly 500 x 500 px. Download one by one or as a ZIP.

How to resize to 500 x 500 on Windows, Mac and iPhone

The built-in apps do one photo at a time. Watch the shape: if the photo is not square, typing 500 twice stretches it.

Windows (Paint)

  1. Open the photo in Paint and choose Resize.
  2. Pick Pixels and untick Maintain aspect ratio.
  3. Type 500 for both sides and click OK, then save a copy.

Paint stretches a photo that isn't square. Crop it to a square first, or use Pad on this page to add bars instead.

Mac (Preview)

  1. Open the photo in Preview and choose Tools, then Adjust Size.
  2. Set the units to pixels and untick Scale proportionally.
  3. Type 500 for width and height and click OK.

Preview overwrites the original when you save. Duplicate the file first, or use this page, which never touches your files.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open this page in Safari and tap the drop area.
  2. Choose Photo Library and pick your photos.
  3. Tap Resize, then download the ZIP to the Files app.

The Photos app can crop to Square but can't set a pixel size, so a crop there won't come out at exactly 500 x 500.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to 500 x 500 pixels?+

Drop the photo on this page. It is already set to Exact size, 500 x 500. Leave Fit on Pad to keep the whole photo with white bars, or switch to Crop to fill the square, then click Resize and download. Free, with no signup.

Will my photo be stretched?+

No, unless you choose Stretch. Pad fits the photo inside the square and fills the gap with a colour you pick. Crop keeps the centre and cuts the edges.

Is 500 x 500 big enough for Amazon or Etsy?+

It is the floor, not the target. Amazon won't take images under 500 px on the longest side and needs 1000 px or more for zoom. Etsy wants the first listing photo at least 635 px and recommends 2000 px. For listings, use 1000 x 1000 or larger.

How big does 500 x 500 px print?+

At 300 DPI it prints about 1.67 inches (4.2 cm) square. At 150 DPI, about 3.3 inches. To print at a set size in cm, use Resize Image in cm instead.

Can I resize many photos to 500 x 500 at once?+

Yes. Drop them all in. Every photo gets the same size and fit, and you download one ZIP. It runs in your browser, so there is no daily limit.

Can I make the file smaller in KB as well?+

Yes. Pick WebP or JPG as the output for a smaller file. If a form sets a KB limit, run the result through Reduce Image Size in KB.
